Extras! Extras! Read All About it!

New Will Farrell movie is looking for 500 extras to take part in the film "Semi-Pro."

Are you sick of Will Ferrell yet? I didn't think so. And word is, funnyman Mr. Ferrell is already shooting another upcoming sport's comedy.

The new development is titled Semi-Pro, a comedy in which Ferrell plays the part of a player, coach and owner of a Flint-based team in the 1970s American Basketball Association, who is trying to find his way into the NBA.

Crew for the film has been shooting in Los Angeles since February and has plans to move into Michigan for the last week of April and the first week of May.

Filmmakers for Semi-Pro are actually looking to hire 500 extras for the upcoming shoot, said Wendy Washbrook, extras casting director for the Michigan locations.

"Just normal people who want to come and work with us and dress in 1970s costumes, or wear a wig and sideburns," Washbrook said.

Will Ferrell is no stranger when it comes to successfully scoring big with these comedic sport flicks, such as Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Kicking & Screaming and Blades of Glory, which recently opened at No. 1 at the box office last weekend.
