43-year-old Darius McCollum was arrested for trespassing into a secure region of Columbus Circle station in Manhattan on Saturday 14 June. McCollum was geared up in a uniform that made him look like a transit worker.
McCollum was hit with charges of criminal impersonation, criminal possession of burglar tools and criminal trespassing, according to the Associated Press.
The arrest on Saturday was the 23rd time McCollum was taken into custody for pretending to be a transit worker.
He has also been known for dressing up in an MTA uniform to clean the tracks, put out fires, collect fares as well as to drive buses and trains, according to the Washington Times. In 1981, at the age of 15, McCollum hijacked a subway full of passengers.
