Fame Doesn't End with the Olympics for Phelps
Phelps will host SNL on September 13, etc.
Michael Phelps, 23, isn't letting his fame end with the Olympics. The swimmer, who won eight medals in Beijing, will be hosting Saturday Night Live on September 13, NBC announced today. Monday, September 8, Phelps will be a guest on The Tonight Show. And, last week, he got his own book deal for a memoir entitled Built to Succeed. Not bad for someone who struggled in school. As his mother says, "Michael may not have been able to focus in school, but I saw a passion for swimming at such a young age. He could be at a swim meet or practice for hours." I guess now Phelps will get to see how he feels about giving celebrity a try.
