Family Guy Character Comes Out of the Closet
Stewie, from the animated series "Family Guy" has come out of the closet.
In the September issue of Playboy, "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane revealed that one-year-old megalomaniac Stewie Griffin is gay, or at least he will be.
"Ultimately, Stewie will be gay or a very unhappy repressed heterosexual. It also explains why he's so hellbent on killing [his mother, Lois] and taking over the world: He has a lot of aggression, which comes from confusion and uncertainty about his orientation," said MacFarlane.
This is not the only shocking piece of the news surrounding the series. On Wednesday night, the cast members of "Family Guy" performed the never-before-seen episode "Partial Terms of Endearment" at the Ricardo Montalban Theatre in Hollywood for members of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the press. It featured Lois getting an abortion. While FOX declined to air the episode, it is expected to be on future DVD releases
"Family Guy" just completed its seventh season and is also currently nominated for an Emmy in the best comedy series, the first for an animated show since "The Flintstones" in 1961.Source: LA TIMES
