Family Sues "Extreme Makeover"
Move that bus! Wait there is nothing there? So what happens if after you move into you Extreme makeovered home and you move out? The "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" team came across a heart wrenching story, yes very surprising. Well this family of five siblings, who range from 14-21, were orphaned in the span of a few months. Two friends of their deceased parents invited the clan to live with them in their 3 bedroom home. When EM:HE got wind of the couples kind heart they vowed to design a bigger and better home for them to live in. They transformed the 3 bedroom home into a mansion with 9 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. After everyone cried tears of joy and the crew left, the situation seemed to get worse for the Higgins family. The family that they moved in with allegedly insulted them until they were forced to move out. The Higgins family is taking legal action against the show and the two supposed friends of their parents. They said that the show promised them a "permanent" home and they were not provided with that. The judge decided that the show was not in breach of contract with the Higgins family, because the deal was made with the homeowners not them. The family they lived with are still in question. Lawyers for the Higgins family say that they are considering an appeal.
