MTV VMAs red carpet arrivals

Kanye West appeared on the 'Jay Leno Show' debut last night to perform with Jay-Z. After the performance he sat down with Leno to publicly apologize for the outburst at the MTV Video Music Awards this past Sunday.

This is the third time since the event took place, twice yesterday on twitter, West apologized for his actions.

During Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for the 'Best Female Video' award, West jumped up on stage and ripped the microphone from Swift and proclaimed how Beyonce should have won and pretty much bringing the night to a screeching halt. Not to mention upsetting Swift, and embarrassing Beyonce.

Many fans of West are not happy with his apologies; the fans feel it is just PR damage control to save face and that it is not sincere.

According to MTV.com, West sat down with Leno and "expressed his regret over the incident, citing the fact that he's still dealing with the "hurt" of losing his mother, Donda, who died in 2007 of complications resulting from plastic surgery, and offered to apologize to Swift in person."

Most fans are outraged by West's actions, saying that your own problems should be dealt with in private not public, that he needs to get it together. Some fans though state that "people make mistakes," and is taking responsibility for his actions but apologizing.

On MSNBC.com, it is a general consensus that Kanye West is public enemy # 1 on the internet. "Seconds after Kanye West performed the mortal sin of stepping on Taylor Swift's "Best Female Video" acceptance speech at MTV's Video Music Awards, the Internet achieved consensus: West is officially the worst person who ever lived. Ever."

Besides the public, artists such as Pink and Katy Perry bashed West on Twitter.
