Farrah Fawcett in Critical Condition

Actress taken to L.A. hospital

Farrah Fawcett, former star of the television show "Charlie's Angels," was taken to a Los Angeles hospital on Thursday. Reports are sparse as the reason for her hospitalization and the name of the hospital to which she was taken were not revealed by anyone from Fawcett's camp.

Gossip website Radaronline.com quoted sources saying that Fawcett was unconscious at the time. In September 2006, she was diagnosed with anal cancer but declared herself fully recovered by early 2007. The disease returned that May and Fawcett's subsequent treatment was documented and shared with entertainment television in early 2008.

The Miami Herald reported that Fawcett's longtime partner, Ryan O'Neal, and their son, Redmon, were with her in the hospital. She was reported to be in critical but stable condition.

Fawcett has received three Emmy nominations during her career, the latest for her guest actress appearance in 2003's "The Guardian."
