Farrah Fawcett's Emmy Nomination

Farrah Fawcett's documentary is acknowledged.

Farrah Fawcett's documentary that chronicled her battle with a rare cancer has been nominated for an Emmy for outstanding nonfiction special.

Fawcett had been nominated an Emmy three times before for acting, and did not live to see this nomination be announced. Fawcett was an executive producer of the documentary.

Alana Stewart, friend and producer of the film told the Los Angeles Times, "This would have meant so much to Farrah."

Stewart also said that Ryan O'Neal, Fawcett's longtime companion, was "Very excited and happy."

Fawcett passed away on June 25 at the age of 62. The 90-minute documentary aired on NBC only six weeks before she died.
