Fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi revealed on The Wendy Williams Show Friday that he married his boyfriend of six years, Arnold Germer, back in November.
People reports that the Project Runway: All Stars judge showed off his wedding ring to Williams’ audience before finally revealing that he had been married. He revealed that he and Germer have actually known each other for ten years, although they did not get together until six years ago. "We didn't think we wanted to get married until they said we could in New York, and then it was like, 'We're getting married!’” he said.
Rather than go all out with a big party, Mizrahi, 50, said that they resisted their friends' wishes for a big party, according to The New York Daily News. "You have to have a series of parties, Vera Wang has to be called ... it's like, start now! We were terrified and decided to just elope at City Hall,” he said.
When Mizrahi told Williams that the couple married on Nov. 30, she was shocked, since she and her husband, Kevin Hunter, also wed on Nov. 30, 14 years ago.
E! News reports that Mizrahi revealed that he and Germer are planning on having a big celebration for their friends and family who might have felt left out. Mizrahi said that they are thinking about doing a “giant thing” on their one-year anniversary. "And yes, I will call Vera Wang, and she will do my dress,” he joked.
