The Fate of the Jackson Three

What will happen to Michael Jackson's children?

The fate of Michael Jackson's three children is now the big question after their father's sudden death on Thursday. Jackson's mother, Katherine, is said to have the children right now at the family's Encino home, according to TMZ.

Jackson was granted sole custody of his eldest children, Michael Jr. and Paris after his divorce to Debbie Rowe in 1999. Rowe, the children's biological mother, has had no relationship with her two children, reports Fox News. The third child, Prince II, was born to an unknown surrogate mother who gave up her parental rights.

According to Fox News, Jackson's intentions for the children would be that they would be passed to his mother, who he referred to as his "life and soul." The family's attorney, Brian Oxman, said, "I do not know of any kind of will or estate planning that Michael would have made, but I know that he believed that if anything ever happened to him that his mother was a wonderful caretaker."
