Fate of Michael Jackson's Children Undecided

Debbie Rowe may seek custody of her two biological children, or Michael's mother, Katherine Jackson, may seek sole custody.

With the sudden passing of Michael Jackson, one cannot help but wonder about the fate of his three young children, Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and Blanket, 7. The children are currently in the care of their grandmother, Katherine Jackson.

Michael Jackson's ex-wife, Debbie Rowe, is the legal mother of Prince Michael and Paris, although in a 2005 custody battle, Rowe gave up her rights as the children's mother, claiming that Michael was a loving father. However, she later had her maternal rights given back to her by the court.

The Jackson's family attorney, Brian Oxman, says Jackson's mother would be a natural guardian for the kids, though it won't be her decision.

"Katherine is the logical choice – she has all the grandkids and nieces around her but it will be up to the courts," Oxman told People. "I wouldn't be surprised if there are more proceedings regarding the children."
