FBI asked to join in the search for Jennifer Hudson's nephew

Jennifer Hudson's nephew has been reported missing and the FBI has been brought into the search.

Chicago police have turned to the FBI in their search for Jennifer Hudson's nephew.

According to Reuters, "Julian King has been missing since Friday when Hudson's mother, Darnell Donerson, 57, and brother Jason Hudson, 29, were found dead in Donerson's south side Chicago home."

Hudson won the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at last year's Oscars. The FBI was asked to join the search for the missing boy after Chicago following a Chicago police spokesperson said in the even that the 7-year-old had been taken across state lines which is a federal offense.

Hudson's sister Julia has been pleading for the boy's safe return, "Let my baby go," Hudson's sister Julia told reporters. She appeared at a news conference along with the boy's father, Greg King."

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, there has been one arrest of a suspect in this case. "The man labeled a suspect by police in the slayings - the estranged husband of Jennifer Hudson's sister - was in custody Saturday. No charges had been filed against William Balfour. His mother, Michele Davis Balfour, said he had nothing to do with the double homicide."

The article continued with, "Balfour has been married to another Donerson daughter, Julia Hudson, for about two years. They had lived together in the Yale Avenue home. But the couple has been having problems, were separated and were planning to divorce, family members said.

Balfour is Julian's stepfather. Friends and neighbors of the Hudson family gathered on Saturday outside the white house where Hudson grew up. Stuffed animals and flowers were left by those who attended.
