Federline Won't Ask for Hearing over Son's Hospitalization

Kevin Federline said he will not seek a court hearing over an allergic reaction that forced ex-wife Britney Spears to rush their 2-year-old son to the hospital.

After an allergic reaction sent the 2-year-old son of singer Britney Spears and dancer and rapper Kevin Federline to the emergency room, Federline said he would not take the incident before a judge for a court hearing, according to People magazine.

Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said they are not likely to drag the incident into court and that Jayden's parents will determine the root of the reaction to prevent it from occurring again.

"We're not going to jump to conclusions right now," Kaplan said. "I don't anticipate there being a hearing. I anticipate that Kevin and Britney as concerned parents will exchange information and satisfy themselves that what happened was a freak occurrence and do what they have to do to make sure that it doesn't happen again."

Jayden James Federline was rushed to a hospital in McComb, Miss. after an allergic reaction caused the toddler to break out in hives and stay at the hospital overnight.

"Kevin was considering going to Louisiana," Kaplan said, "but the information that we had was Jayden was already checked out. There wasn't an emergency."

This is the first trip that Jayden and his 3-year-old brother, Sean Preston, have taken with Spears to Louisiana since the singer lost custody earlier this year.
