Ferrell on Braodway in a Show Bashing Bush

The one man Broadway show could bring critical acclaim.

Will Ferrell has played many roles in his career, and one of his most notable has been his parodies of former President George W. Bush on "Saturday Night Live."

His one-man Broadway show hits theaters this week. Titled "You're Welcome America. A Final Night with George W. Bush," the 90-minute show zips through the life and Presidency of Bush at a brisk and hilarious pace. Ferrell does not offer a perfect imitation of Bush. He relies instead on a recreation of the ex-Prez's attitude and posture.

The night is mostly Ferrell sitting in a chair, addressing the audience as Bush. This isn't a show to reveal dark secrets, rather a parody of the obvious facts about George Bush. It also makes great use of projectors to send pictures onto the back of the stage, giving Ferrell some great material to work with.

While this is technically a one man show, there are a couple of walk-ons. Ferrell's brother silently plays a dancing Secret Service Agent, and Pia Glenn has a cameo as Condoleeza Rice. Like a true master, Ferrell even pulls audience activity into the show near the end.

The show opened on February 5 and runs until March 15 at the Cort Theater in New York City, and will be made into an HBO special that will be broadcast live.
