Filippa Hamilton fired from Ralph Lauren for getting too "fat"
Former Ralph Lauren model Filippa Hamilton said she was terminated because she could no longer fit the clothes. Hamilton, who is only a size four, was deeply upset when a Photoshopped ad of her came out in Japan. In comparison to the tiny frame, Hamilton's head resembled that of a Bratz doll. The 120 pound model made an appearance on NBC's the "Today Show" to speak out against the picture.
According to Fox News she said "I saw my face on this super-extremely skinny girl, which is not me. It makes me sad. It makes me think that Ralph Lauren wants to have this kind of image. It's an American brand
and it's not healthy, and it's not right."
Ralph Lauren released a statement in response saying "We consider her an important part of our imaging and branding. We regret that our relationship has ended as a result of her inability to meet the obligations under her contract with us."
