It has been an amazing five seasons for fans of NBC's Chuck, but sadly it is all over now, and everyone must say goodbye. When we first met the young Charles Bartowski, he was a nerd stuck in a dead end job and still hung up on how his best friend betrayed him and took his girlfriend in college. On Friday night, everyone saw how much he's grown while staying true to his nerdy self. It's an emotional two hour finale for everyone involved, especially the cast.
Zachery Levi, who plays Chuck, takes this transition of the character to heart in the finale. For five years, he dedicated his life to this show and couldn't be happier with the results and how the fans have reacted to the show. Both he, and all the fans, will miss the quirky adventures of the spy.
Starring alongside him as Sarah Walker is Yvonne Strahovski. She puts on a brave face for the cameras, but her character is the key to this finale's hardship. As an actress, she has a challenge in playing a different side to Sarah then the one that's been seen throughout the show. But she readily accepts the challenge, for the fans.
The show wouldn't be the same without Chuck's best friend Morgan, played by Joshua Gomez. Morgan has always been the comedic relief, but over time got a much larger role in the show as he too became a spy. Gomez has fond memories of the silly Morgan seen in the pilot and how they interact behind the scenes. He also mentions how hard the fans fight for this show, especially with the past threats of cancellations.
The bond that this cast has with the fans and the show itself is extremely obvious. After five years it's all over, but no one will forget how much they loved Chuck and the cast that brought it to life.
