First Picture of Dugard Since Age 11

Millions of people have seen the photo of 11-year-old Jaycee Dugard, but now the concerned public can see a recent photo of the victim alive and well.

The issue of People that will be released this Friday features now 29-year-old Dugard on its cover. Besides the brown hair, the photo looks amazingly similar to the one generated by imaging machines by the National Center for Missing Children when she was first kidnapped.

Inside, more photographs show a happy Dugard reunited with her sister Shayna, mother, and two daughters. Angel, 15, and Starlit 11, the two girls fathered by Dugard's captor, are pictured but their faces are not shown. Their mother agreed to be featured because she knows people are curious, but she is also ready to return to a private life.

"This was a kind of thank you to people who have expressed their support and shared their joy for her," spokeswoman Erika Schulte said. "She's eager to live a quiet life right now with her daughters, mother, and sister."
