Five Grand for a Star's Used Kleenex!

Scarlett Johansson's used kleenex worth a bundle.

Appearing on the Tonight Show last week, Scarlett Johansson blew her nose, just like people do all the time. She cracked a joke that the tissue might be worth cash. Apparently, she wasn't kidding.

The snot-laden, lipstick smeared, autographed tissue was auctioned on eBay, with the proceeds going to the USA Harvest Charity, an organization that gathers food for food banks and shelters. Some 83 bids later, the tissue sold for $5,300.

EBay's Human Parts and Remains Policy states that examples of prohibited items include, but are not limited to: organs, bone, blood, waste, sperm, and eggs. Apparently mucous isn't included, as eBay listed the item on the site's front page.

A non-celebrity user posted a used tissue, to see what would happen, and eBay promptly canceled the listing and threatened to revoke her account. Auctionbytes.com contacted eBay to ask them about the double standard, who claimed that the listing did not violate any policy. EBay then contacted Auctionbytes, saying that the other user's auction was removed due to an "Intellectual Property" violation.

The economy may be struggling, but apparently there's always room for a used tissue on the mantle, no matter the cost.
