Flavor Flav is Going Back to School

Flavor Flav (real name William Jonathan Drayton Jr.) is returning to high school and hoping to chronicle his return on a new reality show, Reuters reported. He calls dropping out of school "an embarrassing situation" that he wants to fix, he told Access Hollywood.

Flav dropped out of school in the tenth grade and now wants to return to make his mom "proud while she's still alive," influence kids, and change the direction of reality TV, he said.

"I just want to show the world it's never too late to get your diploma, and show kids they should stay in school and not wait until you're old to get it," he said.

The rapper and television star is teaming up with producer Eric Ortner to shop the "message-driven" show to networks.

"This show can be big enough to change the direction of reality shows," Ortner said.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Flav said that he wants people to see the William Drayton side of him on this show. It won't all be serious either, it will have some Flav in it too, he said, by going out for the band, basketball and football team.
