Former Business Manager Sues Nicolas Cage
Actor Nicolas Cage and his former manager play the blame game of who caused the actor's financial problems.
The Associate Press has reported that Samuel J. Levin filed a countersuit in Beverly Hills on Nov. 12 in the amount of $129,000. This comes just a few weeks after Cage sued Levin for fraud and claimed that he lead the 45 year-old star to financial ruin. The Hollywood star is seeking $20 million in damages.
Levin, who was hired by Cage in 2001, claims his former client's lavish lifestyle is to blame. He even warned Cage that his out-of-control spending on expensive items was exceeding his hefty Hollywood paychecks.
In the filing, Levin states he enacted a plan to pay off some of the "National Treasure" star's enormous debt by selling off about a dozen of Cages automobiles and his comic collection that were worth $1.6 million.
