Fourth "Indiana Jones" Film Will Premiere at Cannes
The fourth installment in George Lucas and Steven Spielberg's action-adventure picture will make its debut at Cannes Film Festival on Sunday, May 18.
The official worldwide release date for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is preliminarily set for four days after it premieres on May 22.
The cast, which includes Harrison Ford, Shia LaBeouf and Cate Blanchett, have been notified to plan on attending the film festival, even though the festival has yet to announce its official lineup. The official release date of the Cannes lineup will happen in April.
Variety reports that Director Spielberg is still editing and scoring the film, and has not shown Indy 4 to anyone yet, which is significant because the festival's programmers must view the film before it can be admitted.
