Fox Moves Up Fall Premiere Dates of "Glee" and "SYTYCD"
Fox has decided to premiere two of its most anticipated fall shows earlier than planned, BuddyTV reports.
"Glee" and Season 6 of "So You Think You Can Dance" will premiere a week earlier than announced previously. Both premieres will air on Wednesday, Sept. 9, "So You Think You Can Dance" at 8:00 p.m. and "Glee" at 9:00 p.m.
"So You Think You Can Dance" was already set to premiere earlier than usual. In past years, fans of the show have had to wait a year between seasons. Now, they will have to wait just a month between episodes (the fifth season of the show is still in progress).
While a brand new episode of "So You Think You Can Dance" will air on Sept. 9, the previously aired pilot of "Glee" will be shown. The second episode of Fox's already acclaimed new show will air the next week on Sept. 16.
While Fox has moved the premieres of these two shows forward, it has pushed the premiere date of "Brothers" back to Friday, Sept. 25 at 8:00 p.m. The premiere of "'Til Death" was also given a Friday slot and the premiere moved back to Friday Oct. 2 at 8:30 p.m.
