FOX picks up Jamie Foxx's Sketch Comedy

Foxx and FOX Reunite for Laughs

Jamie Foxx is teaming up with FOX for a midseason primetime sketch comedy. The network has ordered 12 episodes of the tentatively titled The Jamie Foxx Project from the In Living Color alum, according to Deadline.com.

While the new show will feature Affion Crockett, who starred and produced in the original pilot, the pilot used to sell the show will not be used in the TV series.

The show will be in the same genre of sketch/variety series In Living Color, which aired on FOX in the 1990s and featured Foxx in his first major showbiz role.

The Jamie Foxx Project will spoof pop culture, movie trailers, commercials, TV shows, music videos, and celebrities, and will feature a cast of fresh faces as well as some comedy vets.

Eric and Kim Tannenbaum, the husband and wife production team behind Two and Half Men, will produce the new series.
