Fox Talking To Conan O'Brien

Nothing concrete as of now, but they're 'in talks'.

While not actually saying anything substantial, Fox has reportedly been in talks with recently unemployed late-night talk show host, Conan O'Brien. According to The Hollywood Reporter, O'Brien and Fox are exploring options as to whether or not they could bring the giant Leprechaun into the Fox family with substantial profits.

News Corp. chair and CEO Rupert Murdoch said Tuesday that the company is slightly conflicted about the Conan issue.

"If the programming people can show us we can do it ... and make a profit, we would do it in a flash," he said in a quarterly earnings call on Tuesday.

He added that that though he has been in talks with O'Brien recently, there have been no actual negotiations as of yet. He said the main problem is that Fox is already running some pretty profitable shows on the 11-11:30 p.m. weekday time slots and that giving O'Brien the spot may be a little too risky.
