Fox wins Monday night ratings, despite dip from ‘Alcatraz’

Monday night was quiet during prime time for the networks, thanks to repeats all night for CBS, letting Fox take the night. Still, the Two and a Half Men repeat was the most watched show of the night. Gossip Girl also had a nice boost thanks to its 100th episode.

Fox came out on top with an average of 8.5 million viewers and a 2.8 18-49 rating, according to Zap2It. The network started out with House, which drew 8.6 million viewers and a 2.8 18-49 rating. Alcatraz dipped slightly from last week, with a 2.7 18-49 rating. That was a 10 percent slide from last week, notes Deadline. Still, 8.3 million watched it.

CBS came in second, proving that people would rather watch repeats of How I Met Your Mother and Two and a Half Men than anything else. The network drew 8.05 million viewers and a 2.3 18-49 rating. How I Met Your Mother and 2 Broke Girls averaged 7.54 million viewers, reports Hit Fix. The Two and a Half Men repeat was the most watched show of the night, drawing 10.05 million viewers and a 3.0 18-49 rating. Mike & Molly followed with 8.5 million viewers. A repeat of Hawaii Five-0 finished with 7.3 million.

ABC finished in third, thanks to a decent performance by The Bachelor. ABC drew 7.6 million viewers and a 2.2 18-49 rating. The first hour of The Bachelor drew 7.92 million viewers, while the second hour jumped to 8.24 million. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show averaged a 2.6 18-49 rating, which was just a 4 percent drop from last week. Finally, a Castle repeat drew 6.7 million viewers.

NBC finished in fourth with just 4.6 million viewers and a 1.3 18-49 rating. Who’s Still Standing? started off with 6.6 million viewers and a 1.7 18-49 rating, while a repeat of Fear Factor had 3.97 million. Many of those may have been disappointed about not seeing the donkey semen stunt. Rock Center ended the night with just 3.3 million viewers and a 0.8 18-49 rating.

Over at the CW, the 100th episode of Gossip Girl drew 1.4 million viewers and a 0.8 18-49 rating. That gave it a 25 percent jump in overall viewers and a 14 percent jump in the key ratings demographic. Hart of Dixie had 1.5 million viewers and a 0.6 18-49 rating.
