Fred Durst Claims He and Britney Had a Relationship

The Limp Bizkit singer is claiming that he and Spears had a relationship, which she has vehemently denied.

According to MSNBC, Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst, 38, is claiming that he and pop star Britney Spears did indeed have a romantic relationship.

Durst told MTV News, "It just became a fiasco of madness, (but) I always stay true to my heart and true to everything I did and my intentions, and I am in no way a liar."

The pair was first reported as being together at the 2003 American Music Awards. Durst claimed that he had, "never felt this way," but Spears completely denied the existence of a relationship.

"I think him for me, but not me for him," Spears said of Durst's statements. "He's said some pretty amazing things about me. But, um, I think he leaped in too deep, too quick."

Durst went as far as swearing on his son's life that there was a relationship on the Howard Stern Show. He now chalks the dispute up to an occurrence of Spears's strange behavior.

"I look back on it as very interesting (in terms of) how things have been sort of unraveling for her since, (but) it is what it is," he said. "I can sleep at night knowing I made decisions that I wanted to make. (Still) I'm a supporter. I was then, I guess I am now."
