Friend of Alleged Victim in R. Kelly Trial Testifies

Friend of alleged victim in R. Kelly trial identifies her friend and R. Kelly in video.

R. Kelly and a girl between the ages of 13 or 14, who are accused of appearing on the sexually explicit video, have been identified Wednesday by Simha Jamison, the former best friend of the girl in accusation, according to reuters.com. Jamison, a Chicago hair stylist, claims that the girl allegedly in the pornographic tape identified the R&B singer as her godfather.

According to the Associated Press, Jamison said she and the alleged victim were best friends for 10 years until their junior year of high school. She also claims that she and the alleged victim visited R. Kelly, real name Robert Kelly, more than a dozen times at his recording studio and a Chicago basketball court.

The prosecution is working hard to prove Kelly guilty at his pornography trial, using the explicit tape as their main argument. Former investigator John Kelly identifies a "hot tub room" pictured in the pornographic video as the same one he saw in the singer's home, according to the Associated Press. They also report, "A retired investigator with the Cook County state's attorney's office testified Wednesday that he went to a home on Chicago's North Side in 2002 that had been owned by the singer."

Kelly's defense attorney argues that the singer had moved out of the house at least two weeks prior to the investigator's visit.
