Full House Star Trying to Stay Positive Amidst Divorce
Days after filing for divorce from her husband of less than two years, actress Jodie Sweetin is trying to stay positive for the sake of their seven-month-old daughter, her agent, Stella Alex, told People magazine.
Alex said her client is "trying to stay positive for Zoie," their daughter.
"Her focus is the baby," Alex said. "Jodie's got a huge support system in her family and friends and she thinks this is what's best for her."
Sweetin's estranged husband, Cody Herpin, said he was "dumbfounded" over Sweetin's decision to file for divorce and that he was "still discombobulated" over the divorce filing.
"Not knowing what's going on is hard," Herpin said. He added that Sweetin and their daughter are staying with Sweetin's parents.
"It's rough," Herpin said. "Marriage is not taken lightly to me. It's supposed to be forever."
Sweetin filed for divorce on Wednesday at Orange County Superior Court in California. She cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for divorce and requested joint physical and legal custody of their daughter.
