Full Streaming Songs Available in Google Search

Music just got cooler on Google
Google Moves Into New Washington Campus

Just announced today: a new music feature available through the search engine of Google, which is available to those who search from the U.S.

When Internet users search for music by song title, artist, album, and even part of lyrics they will end up with a surprising result. The plan is that up to four songs will appear when users search for music as described before and once a song is picked it will begin to play.

The song chosen will play on a pop up player from MySpace and Lala. The results also come with album artwork and links to music sites Rhapsody and Pandora.

Record companies agree with this move, feeling that it is good to get a band's name or work out there on the Internet with this option, and then users will be tempted to buy the music. Once the song is clicked, a full version plays then after that a much shorter version becomes available when played again.

"If you think about music discovery today, the vast majority begins with a Google search" stated by Lala co-founder Bill Nguyen told TheAssociatedPress.com,.
