Futurama set to return in 2008

Comedy Central to air new episodes beginning in 2008.

Oh no, DVD sales have done it again. But, don't worry it's nothing to fret over, unless you're not a fan of the show "Futurama."

Like "Family Guy," the one-time Fox animated series is going to be getting new life. Comedy Central has agreed to air a minimum of 13 new "Futurama" episodes beginning in 2008. The network has also purchased the 72-previous episodes of the show.

"We are thrilled that Matt Groening and 20th Century Fox Television have decided to produce new episodes of 'Futurama' and that Comedy Central will be the first to air them," said David Bernath, the cable channels senior VP.

The show revolves around a pizza delivery boy who transports to the year 3000; he then goes on a series of deliveries around the galaxy with his friends, a Cyclopes and a robot. The show was canceled in 2003, but strong showings in DVD sales and syndication have resurrected the show.
