The Game Free from Prison

Rapper Game walks after 8 days of a 60-day prison sentence.

Jayceon Terrell Taylor, also known by his rapper name, The Game, walked free from L.A.'s Twin Towers prison on Tuesday, having served eight days of a 60-day sentence.

The 28-year-old former protege of 50 Cent was convicted last month of pulling a gun on an opposing player at a basketball match. His sentence included a maximum of 60 days in prison, three years' probation, and 150 hours of community service.

Supposedly, the rapper hit an opponent in the face during the game at Rita Walters Educational Complex, before fetching his gun from the parking lot and threatening another player. Taylor, aka The Game, was also discharged at a court in Manhattan for impersonating a police officer in 2006. According to BBC News, police told the court that Taylor ordered a taxi driver to run multiple red lights under the pretense that he was an undercover police officer.

The Game is a two-time Grammy nominee.
