Gene Simmons Sued over Racing Deal

The Kiss bassist faces legal trouble with claims of fraud and slander.

The Associated Press reports that a Los Angeles man, Allan Brown, is suing Gene Simmons over his 2006 marketing deal with the Indy Racing League.

Brown filed suit on Wednesday against the Kiss bassist and two of his partners, claiming that he was cut out of the 2006 deal between Simmons and the racing league.

Brown is saying that he helped to broker the deal between Simmons and the league, but while he was on a personal vacation, he was left out of the contract.

Brown is also upset, claiming that racing league officials where misled about his character by Simmons, who reportedly said he was "rich" and "lazy."

Brown is therefore suing on claims of fraud and slander, and is seeking an unspecified amount in damages.

It is widely known that Simmons helped in 2006 to promote Indy Car racing, and that he even co-wrote the song for the league called "I AM INDY."

Simmons's attorney has apparently not commented on the case yet.
