Genesis Reunites for European Tour
Genesis has reunited to perform a 20-show European concert called, "Turn It on Again," which will be the band's first concert together in 15 years.
The band last played a tour together in 1991, and Phil Collins quit the band in 1996 to go solo. Collins told the Associated Press the reunion was not about the money.
"I think we are all loaded enough not to worry about where the next million or two is coming from," the 55-year-old singer said Tuesday. "I just felt now was the right time to have a go at it."
A series of U.S. concerts will follow the European dates, though no details have been announced.
Genesis band member, Tony Banks, said the new tour will let fans hear a side of Genesis besides just their hits.
"Genesis has another side to it, a more complex area of music," he told the AP. "One side gets slightly more attention than the other. We are trying to reacquaint people. Genesis is not particularly a group mentioned very much these days and we want to remind people we did do a lot of things."
