Georgia Man Convicted of Stalking Tyra Banks

A 39-year-old man from Dublin, Ga. was sentenced on Thursday in NYC to one year probation and having to attend a treatment center for stalking.

Tyra Banks, the host of "America's Next Top Model" and "The Tyra Banks Show," said that she fears for the safety of her family, fans, staff, and herself during a trial that took place in NYC. Banks has been the victim of a stalker, who, during last year, had threatened her staff, sent her flowers, called her office and followed her coast to coast.

Brady Green, 39, of Dublin, Ga., was convicted of stalking Banks on Thursday and sentenced to one year probation and having to complete a program that focuses on stalking. He can not be anywhere near the supermodel for at least two years.

On March 18, 2008, Green was arrested at a McDonald's close to Bank's Manhattan home, where he told officers he had a relationship with the TV host but now, Green had testified that he was just trying to get tickets for her show.

Sean McMahon, Assistant District Attorney, got the 39-year-old man to admit that he had ridden a bus half way across the country to follow Banks. Clearly, those tickets meant so much! Did eBay not sell any?

Banks was not present during the sentencing on Thursday.
