Gerard Butler Has Hots for Street Performers

It looks like Gerard Butler was fiddling around with an unidentified street violinist on Venice Beach last Sunday.

Sources told PEOPLE that the actor was spotted in the Southern California beach area with a few friends after attending a Haiti benefit in Santa Monica. Before the day's end, the actor began chatting up a woman playing violin on the street. After a few moments, the two shared a moment of passionate kissing. Butler returned home alone, but not before throwing some cash into the performer's violin case.

The sighting might spell bad news for Jennifer Aniston, with whom Butler costars in The Bounty Hunter, due to be released March. The two may have dated during filming, although Butler maintained that they shared only a friendly relationship. That image is a little undermined by the fact that he and Aniston were virtually attached at the hip during the Golden Globes (not to mention the purported intimate moments they shared backstage).

Aniston wasn't anywhere on the scene this time around. Unless she picks up a few interesting talents for display on the boardwalk, she might not get another chance with Butler anytime soon.
