German Soccer Star Commits Suicide

German soccer player Robert Enke ended his life Wednesday at the age of 32.

Robert Enke, who was to be Germany's goalie for next year's World Cup, committed suicide Wednesday, reports the Associated Press. Just shortly after Germany celebrated the 20th anniversary fall of the Berlin Wall, the country is now mourning the loss of their talented young soccer star.

Enke, 32, suffered from depression. In 2006, his 2-year old daughter died of a heart disorder. He left a suicide note, leaving police to rule out the possibility that his tragic death was anything but a suicide. He had appeared to be getting better, but in his suicide note he apologized for leading his family to believe he was no longer depressed.
