Get Ready for Conan O'Brien
Conan O'Brien debuts as the new host of The Tonight Show on Monday, succeeding Jay Leno. "I'm not just the host of 'The Tonight Show'; I'm also the caretaker," he said.
O'Brien worked as host of Late Night with Conan O'Brien for more than 15 years, in New York, reports the Washington Post. His new gig in Los Angeles will continue to include Andy Richter as announcer and comedic cohort, along with drummer Max Weinberg. Jeff Ross will remain as executive producer for the show.
O'Brien does not plan on changing his comedic style for the earlier hour he will be on television. "I can't change my core sense of humor, and I'm not going to change my personality," he said. O'Brien paraphrased Popeye in an interview with the Washington Post and said, "I am who I am."
Stay tuned for The Tonight Show on NBC, weekdays at 11:35 p.m.
