Steve Carell is on top of the world with his new, biggest selling movie.
Steve Carell's new movie, Get Smart, was No. 1 at the box office this weekend.
According to Exhibitor Relations estimates, the film took in $39.2 million, followed by Kung Fu Panda, The Incredible Hulk, and The Love Guru.
E! News reports that Get Smart's three-day take was nearly three times what The Nude Bomb, the first big-screen crack at the sitcom classic, grossed during its entire run.
Get Smart will also go down as the biggest opener of Carell's, and helps mitigate the disappointment of his last live-action comedy, Evan Almighty.
