Gibson's Girlfriend Pregnant

Actor and filmmaker Mel Gibson went public with the impending birth of his eighth child on The Tonight Show after host Jay Leno asked if the speculation surrounding Gibson's girlfriend, Russian musician Oksana Grigorieva, were true, according to the New York Daily News. Gibson confirmed Grigorieva's pregnancy six weeks after his wife, Robyn, filed for divorce.

According to foxnews.com, Mel already has seven children with Robyn, making the upcoming child with Grigorieva his eighth. Robyn cited "irreconcilable differences" in her divorce petition from Mel. According to the New York Daily News, the Gibsons had been separated for three years prior to the beginning of the divorce motion.

Grigorieva is signed to Mel Gibson's record label. The Daily News reports the pair was seen together at the premiere of the new film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a few days after Robyn Gibson filed her divorce petition. Grigorieva is slated to give birth to the child in the fall.

According to the Daily News, Mel regrets how his marriage to Robyn ended. Grigorieva and Gibson have no plans to marry.
