The extended trailer for director David Fincher's long anticipated film, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, was released Tuesday night.
Finally, the audience has a look at Daniel Craig as Mikael Blomkvist, Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salande, Christopher Plummer as Henrik Vanger and Robin Wright as Erika Berger, the main characters we will (hopefully) follow for the next two movies. The trailer seems to follow all the themes the book held. It’s dark, suspenseful, mysterious, and maybe even explicate.
The trailer seems to hint, as Entertainment Weekly pointed out, that Lisbeth’s own sexual assault trauma is shown.
The trailer lets the plot play out, with which many people who read the books are probably familiar, but was too much given away? Will Fincher’s take on this bestseller be better or worse than the original Swedish film version?
Watch the trailer below and tell us what you think.
