Girl Power Reunification TOO Scary?

The Spice Girls might perform at Live 8 if Scary Spice agrees

I guess all that girl power the Spice Girls preached so adamantly in the past is now null and void. Live 8 organizer Bob Geldof had the idea of reuniting the five former personalities, Scary, Posh, Baby, Sporty and Ginger, for a July 2 performance raising awareness of poverty. However, it seems one of the member is not having it. In an interview with Channel 4's "Richard & Judy," the equivalent to our "Regis & Kelly," Geldof said that the only member holding up the regrouping is Melanie Brown, AKA Scary Spice. So is Scary Spice scared of rekindling the dwindling flame of girl power or what? It seems she is not too excited to go back to something she did in the past. "I stepped out of the public eye five years ago for a reason and I don't want to go back to those crazy days," she said. Still, Geldof promised to reach out to her week, but he plans to back off if she refuses. "If she can't do it, she can't do it," he said. The Live 8 mastermind also shot down suggestions that Spice Girls re-form sans Scary, saying, "It's got to be all or nothing." If Mel B decides to join in on the girlie fun, the group will have just over a week to rehearse together. That should be plenty of time if they leave their excess baggage at home.
