Golf and Rugby Added to Olympic Sports

Starting in 2016, golf and rugby will be played at the Olympics.

The Associated Press reports both golf and rugby have been name official Olympic sports by the International Olympic Committee. To help convince the IOC to include golf as an Olympic sport, Tiger Woods taped a video message that was sent to the IOC.
According to the Los Angeles Times, golf and rugby will played starting at the 2016 games in Rio de Janeiro. It will be the first time golf has been played at the Olympics in over a century and the first time rugby has been played at the Olympics since 1924.
BBC Sport states that Tiger Woods will be 40 when the 2016 Olympics is played. Could we expect the world's richest athlete to add a gold medal to his résumé?
