Gonzalez to Miss up to Eight Weeks

According to the Canadian Press, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez could miss up to eight weeks with a a knee injury. Gonzalez hurt his knee in a 14-12 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

SportingNews.com reports that the injury may not be as bad as some say, with Colts coach Jim Caldwell giving a timetable of two to eight weeks. The Colts are potentially looking to sign a free agent wide receiver to replace Gonzalez.

The National Football Post states that the Colts are interested in signing wide receiver Hank Baskett, who was recently cut by the Philadelphia Eagles. Peyton Manning has expressed interest in the team acquiring Baskett. The Colts face the Miami Dolphins on Monday.
