The Goods on Spitzer's Hooker, Did Charlie Sheen

After the Eliot Spitzer hooker scandal, a new star has emerged. Ashley Alexandra Dupre is the 22-year-old aspiring singer who rendezvoused with Spitzer during her night shift as a call girl. With her MySpace and Facebook pages blowing up, and her not-very-good music experiencing a surge in sales and radio play, Dupre is becoming the bigger news story. More effort has been made, by the digging powers that be in the media, to uncover truths about Dupre rather than former Governor Spitzer, whose Democratic stature was that of presidential-hopeful, and whose loss is a big blow to New York and the Party in general.

So let's review the facts:

On her MySpace, Dupre alleged that she left home at 17 to pursue a singer-songwriter career in New York City, and that she has been "broke and homeless," according to eFlux Media. The NY Sun reports, however, that Dupre was lying about her rough past. Whereas she reports that she was abused while growing up and was homeless at times, she in fact "was a child of privelege in Wall, New Jersey, a quiet town in one of the country's wealthiest counties," says one of Dupre's childhood friends to the NY Sun. Her Web site pages have since been removed.

ShowBizspy.com alleges that Dupre also had sex with movie star Charlie Sheen, along with another hooker, when she was 19 years old.

Check out this irony: She apparently once worked for infamous pimp Jason Itzler, whose profitable prostitution ring was brought down by Spitzer himself in 2006.

Other sources have reported that Dupre's brother, Kyle Youmans, is a heroin dealer and pleaded guilty to such charges in court.

Though she's not the greatest musical artist in the world, Dupre has received invitations to feature in Adult magazines such as Penthouse and Hustler. At least it's legal.
