Gore documentary shows more than global warming
Former Vice President Al Gore just wanted to make a slideshow about global warming.
"People could say I'm a little obsessed with it," said Gore, who was the Democratic candidate for president in 2000. "But it's amazing to me that more people aren't."
What began as a slideshow of images Gore constructed to better educate the world about global warming, a topic about which he has always been passionate but poured his soul into after the '00 race, has been transformed into a documentary - much of which is about Gore himself."An Inconvenient Truth"-- which focuses on Gore's battle against global warming, while taking a personal look into his life and career-- is set to screen at the Sydney Film Festival on Saturday.
The film, which shows Gore's involvement in the TV network "Current" and the company Apple, also examines the former Vice-president's reaction to the 2000 presidential election.
"It was a hard blow," Gore is quoted as saying in the film.
