Grammy winners gain album sales
If you win a Grammy award, chances are correlated album sales will increase.
Billboard reports Grammy winners who took top honors at last week's event are experiencing a resurgence in the sales of their albums.
Amy Winehouse's Grammy-winning Back to Black, re-entered the top ten of Billboard's Top 200 Album Chart at #2, and Herbie Hancock's winning River: The Joni Letters, moved from the bottom of the chart, to #5 this week. Grammy favorite Alicia Keys, holds tight at #3 with As I Am, continuing her thirteen week reign in Billboard's top ten since the album's release. The Foo Fighters' Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace and Kanye West's Graduation also saw small marginal increases.
Hancock took home the evening's most coveted prize, Album of the Year, at the 50th annual event.
