Grave Robbing James Brown

Legendary entertainer’s body goes missing from crypt.

A piece of rhythm and blues history has gone missing, the body of “The Godfather of Soul,” James Brown. This comes just before his daughter LaRhonda Pettit, 48, planned to have an autopsy done to determine the true cause of his death.

James Brown, a rhythm and blues legend known for his dance moves and songs such as "Papa’s Got A Brand New Bag" and "It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World", passed away at 73 on December 25 2006. At the times, doctors determined the cause of his death to be a heart attack caused by pneumonia. His daughter LaRhonda thinks otherwise.

After his death, Brown’s body was sealed in a crypt until arrangements for a permanent grave could be made in the South Carolina home of his daughter Deanna Brown-Thomas.

Since it is common knowledge that Brown took illegal drugs, LaRhonda thought that those who had supplied him has killed him or at least helped cause his death. It is important to note that no autopsy was done at the time of his death.

Whether Brown’s body’s disappearance is coincidence or something deeper is unknown.
