Green Hornet Film Hits Snag
The film, The Green Hornet, has gotten a few bugs lately. According to Variety, Stephen Chow has stepped down as the director. He will, however, continue to costar as the sidekick, Kato. Variety also mentions that the studio and producer Neal Moritz are currently looking for a new director and still hope to make the film's production start date this spring. They hope to see the movie in theaters in 2010.
The Green Hornet is based off of the well known radio character from the 1930s. It was also a comic and a well known 1960s television program. Seth Rogen will be portraying the Green Hornet. Rogen is also one of the writers for the new film.
Chow is well known in America for his films, Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle, and will also be involved in the sequel. He is also the producer of the upcoming film, Dragonball. Rogen was last seen on the film, Zach and Miri Make a Porno.
