Green Hornet Star Confirmed
Star, writer, and release date confirmed.
Rumors circulating regarding Knocked Up star Seth Rogen's involvement in a new adaptation of The Green Hornet can be put to rest. The star has confirmed that he is in fact writing and starring in the film, IGN reports.
Entertainment Weekly confirmed that Sony has given Rogen the green light both as star and writer of the film. However, the film is still in need of a director, as Kevin Smith bowed out of the project last year.
The Green Hornet tells the story of Britt Reed, a bored newspaper worker by day, and a crime fighter by night. Reed always fights crime with his side kick Kato, who was played in the original 1960s TV show by the famous Bruce Lee.
The new adaptation of the tale is set for a June 25, 2010 release in the U.S.
