Grey's Anatomy To Lose Two Stars

Grey's Anatomy is about to lose two of its prominent characters at the end of this season.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight are leaving the show, confirming rumors of their departure that had been swirling around online for awhile.

US Weekly asked the twosome's costar James Pickens about Heigl's departure, which he confirmed. "Yes, she is," he said, adding, "Wherever Katherine goes, I wish her nothing but the best."

Pickens also spoke about Knight's exit, saying, "He's going too. He just wanted to pursue other career paths."

Both Heigl and Knight had made it clear that they were unhappy with the way things were going with "Grey's." Most notably, Heigl publicly complained that the show's writers weren't giving her Emmy-worthy material. Knight has also complained, his issue being a lack of screen time.

So far, there has been no official confirmation of the stars' departures.
